How Do I Become a Girl Scout Volunteer?

 

First some ways that you can volunteer... (I know what I want to do...just tell me how!)

TROOP LEADER! Did you know that:

*Girl Scout troops can meet weekly, every other week, after school, evening, and/or on Saturday or Sunday.
*You don't need to be a parent to be a Girl Scout Leader.
*Men are welcome as Girl Scout volunteers co-leading troops with women.
*Training and support are provided for all leaders.
*You can choose the age level of girls you would like to work with:
Daisy Girl Scouts (kindergarten), Brownie Girl Scouts (grades 1 - 3), Junior Girl Scouts (grades 4 - 6),
Cadette Girl Scouts (grades 7 - 9), Senior Girl Scouts (grades 10 - 12).

GROUP LEADER! Group leaders are needed for special interest groups (computers, science, outdoor adventure, career exploration, etc.) Groups typically meet only 4 - 6 times.

Specific Short Term Commitment Positions:
Product Sales Manager - Accounting/Organizational Skills
Recruitment Day Organizer - Organizational Skills
Troop Committee Member - Help troops with projects
Data Entry Person - Basic Computer Skills
Event Coordinator - Organizational Skills related to event
Trainer - Ability to teach adults, training provided.
Program Specialist - Interest in Specific Skill Areas
Monthly Commitment Positions:
Member, Board of Directors - Interest in Setting Policy
Public Relations Representative - Writing/Proofreading Skills
Board Task Groups/Committees - Interest/Expertise in Topic
Registrar (for local community) - Organizational Skills
Service Unit Manager (for local community) - Management
